| Radius Door
Construction Laser-crafts will develop and fabricate cores for various projects, such as curved (or radius) doors, unusual torsion box frames for any need from curved shoji screens to concrete forms. |
A torsion box frame, with "skins" on the top and bottom, is the way to create light-weight forms of almost any shape and size. Here the laser cuts the core layers from multi-ply. |
Making radius doors is greatly enhanced with the use of laser technology. The core parts will be stacked over a tenon and glued. Then a layer of poplar will be bent and glued to each face to complete the curved door. |

This picture
shows the dry assembled curved rails and the mortised stiles. |

Here, the
skins are being glued onto the rails. Two layers of 1/8" bending plywood
are glued to each surface. |
The
four finished rails are placed on the center stile. |

Both doors, dry assembled for fit and finish. |
